It's PYO Season!

It's that time of year again, and it looks like it's going to be a great one! Our apple trees are full and ready for picking.

From now throughout October, we open our PYO apple lot to the public. So bring your friends and family, and have fun harvesting some of our all time favorite varieties:

Empire, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Mutsu, Winesap, Stayman, Fuji, Pink Lady, Sun Crisp, and Gold Rush.

** Available first few weeks: Empire, Red Delicious and Golden Delicious.

Not all varieties will be available at all times, and we will open rows as varieties come into season, meaning every time you visit, there will be something new!

Additional apple varieties not available in PYO can be found in our store.

What's the price of PYO?

We charge by the basket size! All baskets and kiddie bags are provided by us and priced as the following:

1/2 bu: $22.00

5+ (1/2) bu: $20.00 ea.

10+ (1/2) bu: $18.00 ea.

Kiddie Bag: $5.00 ea.

If I buy/bought a Susquehanna Orchards crate, can I use that for PYO?

Absolutely! If you're a member of our crate club, bring your crate for picking and enjoy $1.00 off of your half bushel.

Can we drive through the orchards?

There is no driving in or around the orchard.

Wagons are provided but are first come first serve. We highly recommend bringing your own wagons/strollers during busiest days (Fridays and weekends).

Always ask an employee for assistance if you need any help bringing apples back in from the orchard and we're happy to do so!

Are pets allowed with us while we pick?

Due to new government policies no animals are allowed in the orchard whatsoever.

Why aren't all apple varieties available in PYO?

This is due to the layout of the orchard and customer safety. We designed our PYO lot to be easily accessible and filled with our most popular varieties - and we continue to work to improve our lot. The orchard is a working farm though, and carefully laid out, but unfortunately the bulk of our trees can't be reached by the public. Don't worry though! We hand harvest and sort every apple you find in the store.

We are so excited to see everyone back for this seasonal tradition! We also hope you love the improvements and plans we have for this upcoming fall, and thank you for making the 2023 peach season phenomenal.
